All adult felonies committed in Madison County are assigned in the Common Pleas Court after an indictment or information is filed. Before indictment, an adult felony may be in the Municipal Court briefly for a bond hearing.

Depending on the charge, a Defendant will either receive a summons to court or be arrested and transported to court by the county. At this first court date, the Defendant enters a "guilty" or "not guilty" plea.

Cases are overseen by Judge Eamon Costello.

He worked my case with complete diligence. Very intelligent with the way he found a solution to my case. I could not believe the impressive way he handled it. He definitely did a good job. No doubt I will request his service again.
